Abstract
The effectiveness of civil and political forces in confronting
extremism depends on their ability to cooperate, coordinate, and
exchange ideas and efforts to promote peace and stability in society.
Political and economic reform is considered an essential part of the
comprehensive strategy to combat extremism, as political reforms require
a consensus of political forces or a societal will supported by civil society
institutions and new behavior. In the decision-making process and a new
approach through the mechanisms of the democratic system and adopting
economic reform through building the democratic institutions that are
relied upon for the success of the reform and legislating laws, regulations
and legal regulations that develop the economic reform process.The paths
of political and economic reform go through a long stage through a series
of transformations, the reform of democratic institutions, and the
development of administration, and this first requires the establishment of
security, because security and stability represent the main foundations on
which state institutions are based and through which extremism can be
confronted, and immersion in extremism can be a result of failure to
achieve The required political and economic reforms lead to a lack of
confidence in the system and the search for extreme solutions. On the
other hand, extremism can increase political and economic complications
by destabilizing and undermining confidence in the system
